Cancer Sound Therapy Program / Oncology Rehabilitation

The Tibetan Tones Sound Meditation for Cancer program is now being offered to the oncology, massage and sound therapy community.

The Tibetan Tones Oncology rehabilitation program uses a wide range of therapies to rebuild immunity and endurance and a new sense of harmony with life. This is for many, the most challenging time of their life. It sets off all types of emotion from anxiety to anger and deep sadness.

Our program give the patient a full encompassing approach to maintaining a higher vibration so they can successfully overcome the challenge of cancer.

"Experimenting with various acoustic sounds including the human voice, gong, acoustical guitar and xylophone, he found the vibrations actually transformed the cell structure. The human voice produced the most dramatic results – exploding cancer cells and energizing healthy ones; however, the rich overtones of the gong being played for 21 minutes also caused the cancer cells to disintegrate and ultimately explode."Fabien Mamen, Tama-do.com California

Symptoms  from Cancer therapy treated by Tibetan Tones Therapy

Anxiety/Stress

Cancer can spark many feelings—shock over the diagnosis, fear of the unknown, uncertainty over the future, a feeling that you’ve lost some control. These emotions can quickly lead to anxiety and stress, causing headaches, fatigue, loss of appetite, insomnia and other symptoms.

Balance / neurological function

Balance problems range widely, from light-headedness to dizziness and vertigo. Poor balance may result from certain cancers, especially in the brain, or medicinal interventions such as chemotherapy drugs or pain medications. It can lead to significant injury and quality-of-life issues.

Digestive issues

Some cancers and cancer treatments can cause disruption in a patient’s digestive tract that can lead to constipation and diarrhea, which are common side effects of treatment. Medications, therapeutic interventions and changes to your diet help mitigate these symptoms.

Dry mouth

Dry mouth is a common side effect of radiation and chemotherapy treatments. The condition can cause discomfort, thirst and hoarseness, making it difficult for patients to swallow or digest food, speak or maintain adequate oral hygiene. This may leave them prone to infection.  Tibetan Tones meditation methods help restore saliva production which is key in maintaining healthy digestive function as well

Eating difficulties/ Oral cancer

Difficulty chewing can result from changes to the mouth, jaw, or tongue, usually caused by oral cancers. Trouble swallowing, also known as dysphagia, is when a patient has trouble passing food or liquid down the mouth or throat. Tibetan Tones techniques  relieve all the tension associated with the trauma of cancer.

Fatigue

Fatigue is a common side effect of cancer and its treatments. Typically, it comes on suddenly, does not result from activity or exertion, and is not relieved by rest or sleep. The TibetanTones harmonization approach to wellness brings the motivation back to the patient. Through deep relaxation and breath work techniques the patient is restored with a renewed sense of spirit.

Immobility/ muscle weakness

Immobility, often marked by muscle weakness, stiffness or pain, can be a side effect of cancer and some treatments. Although different treatments require various degrees of bed rest, an inability to move can cause serious complications. Tibetan Tones sessions are able to restore strength by activating qi and blood. The subtle vibrational waves bring fresh blood and oxygen to muscles and ligaments, alleviating pain and stiffness.

Insomnia

Cancer patients often experience chronic sleeplessness, also known as insomnia, which can make it difficult to fall asleep and stay asleep. This condition can lead to fatigue, memory and concentration problems, and mood disturbances.  The first and most profound effect of TibetanTones Therapies restores ability to experience balances sleep cycles.  The body can not restore and recharge without proper sleep function.

Relationship challenges

When cancer strikes one, it effects all.  This is a life changing traumatic experience.  The Tibetan Tones programs are for the entire family. We have found this to be one of our most powerful parts of our program. Love and harmony are key to all life. Our programs wash away the fears and resentment that may be costing intimacy and satisfaction in everyones life.  We focus on the CORE , the WHOLE ,as key to health and wellness for all.

Lymphedema and the power of vibrational sound waves.

Lymphedema describes the swelling that occurs when lymph nodes are removed or damaged, often as treatment for certain cancers, especially breast cancer. Lymph fluid builds up in fatty tissue just under the skin, creating painful and sometimes-debilitating edema, especially in the extremities.  When you understand the philosophy and physical effects of multi harmonic long activating tibetan Tones bowls you will see how the lyme system is most effectively restored to a healthy flowing state.  We pay particular attention to the lymphatic flow to alleviate inflammation and danger of toxic lymph glands.  Our subtle methods have been know to be the most powerful in regaining proper lymph detoxification.

Malnutrition

Malnutrition is defined as insufficient or imbalanced consumption of nutrients that sap patients’ strength and weaken their immune system. The Tibetan Tones breath and meditation techniques restore  appetite, changes in taste or smell, difficulty swallowing, fatigue, depression and nausea. Tibetan Tones digestive treatments   restores the body’s ability to absorb the right nutrients.

Memory/Cognition

Disruptions to memory and cognition often impact cancer patients, especially those undergoing chemotherapy, immunotherapy or radiation therapy treatments. Restoring brain function is key to the Tibetan Tones Therapies as a result of inducing client into a deep mediation theta brain wave state.  Blood flow is increased to cross BBB and bring oxygen into the ends of capillaries in the brain.

Numbness/ neuropathy

The loss of sensation in the extremities can be debilitating and lead to other complications, including safety implications. Numbness may be caused by brain and spinal cord tumors and by cancer-related peripheral neuropathy nerve damage. It may also develop as a result of malignant plasma cells and acute lymphocytic leukemia, and can be a sign of prostate cancer and advanced-stage lung cancer.  The Tibetan Tones LOW DENSITY VIBRATIONAL bowls are key to restoring all joint ,muscle, heart, digestive and brain health. Tibetan Tones makes the finest in long sustaining giant vibrational bowls. This process restores blood flow to the feet and all joints.

Pain

Many cancer patients experience varying levels of pain, from the disease or the tests and treatments used to diagnose and fight it. The key to alleviating pain is in

Pioneers in sound therapy for oncology

In the early 80’s Fabien Maman, a French musician, acupuncturist and bio-energetician, devoted one and a half years studying the effects of sound on human cells.

Experimenting with various acoustic sounds including the human voice, gong, acoustical guitar and xylophone, he found the vibrations actually transformed the cell structure. The human voice produced the most dramatic results – exploding cancer cells and energizing healthy ones; however, the rich overtones of the gong being played for 21 minutes also caused the cancer cells to disintegrate and ultimately explode.

Following is a fascinating interview with the late Dr. Mitchell Gaynor, a leading oncologist who has pioneered new strategies for the treatment and prevention of cancer. Dr. Gaynor, author of the book “The Healing Power of Sound”, actively used sound in his integrative oncology practice. This interview was reprinted with permission from Mr. Bill Thompson. It should be noted here that singing bowls are horizontal gongs.

Dr. Mitchell Gaynor, Director of Medical Oncology and Integrative Medicine at the Strang-Cornell Cancer Prevention Center in New York in an interview with Bill Thomson.

NT: How did you discover Tibetan “singing” bowls and their usefulness in healing?

Gaynor: "Well, I took care of a Tibetan monk in 1991. I’m a cancer specialist and also a hematologist and I had been working with guided imagery and meditation with my patients since the mid-1980’s. I was actually asked to see this Tibetan monk at Cornell Medical Center for a routine medical problem which was anemia. But he was suffering from a very severe disease that was destroying his heart muscle called cardiomyopathy. I talked with him about what we could do for his anemia and what diagnostic work-up we’d do.

I always talk with my patients on an in-depth level about what’s going on in their lives and I noticed a tremendous sense of sadness and resignation in his eyes. So I asked him to tell me about his life and he recalled a time when he was 3-years old and was living as a Tibetan refugee in India. His parents were very poor and could no longer afford to feed him and his brother, so they had to take them to an orphanage run by Tibetan Buddhist monks. He recalled watching his parents walk away; he reached out through the fence and was asking them not to leave and you could really feel his sense of anguish. I didn’t think it was any coincidence that on an emotional level he had a broken heart and on a physical level he was suffering, literally, from a broken heart.

He left the hospital about 2 weeks later and he gave me as a gift a metal Tibetan singing bowl. I had never heard one before. I didn’t even know they existed. But I was taken with the tones and the over-tones and I could literally feel them going through every cell in my body. I could not only hear it with my ears, but I felt it through-out my body. So, I figured that would be an excellent thing for patients who were dealing with serious illnesses."

"Sound can change our immune function. After either chanting or listening to certain forms of music, your Interluken-1 level, an index of your immune system, goes up between 12 and a half and 15 percent. Not only that, about 20 minutes after listening to this meditative type music, your immunoglobin levels in your blood are significantly increased. There’s no part of our body not effected. Even our heart rate and blood pressure are lowered with certain forms of music. So, it effects not only our soul and our spirit, but it effects us on literally a cellular and sub-cellular level." DR MITCH GAYNOR

BP: What is your opinion on white crystal bowls?

EM: I have spoken at great length with some of my colleagues who I have great respect for their work and they have an equally strong opinion not in favor of the crystal bowls.  With all my experience and success with the Tibetan Tones method, I have a clear idea of what I am looking for in terms of energy.

I do not find any benefit from typical white so called crystal bowls. I experimented with them a bit and watched my students body movement and their eyes. I could see after working for an hour with the Tibetan Tones Bell Metal bowls everyone was totally relaxed and with a smile on the face.  When we introduced the crystal bowl playing I could see the shoulders going up and the faces lost that fluid energy to a more  lost look.  I saw it as them coming out of their bodies.  The people who are constantly using crystal bowls I find to be a little airy like in the head. Not grounded. They have this angelic like approach but their minds are not settled.  In fact, I find them to have quite the turbulent mind set.  They come to me for the Tibetan Tones for the grounding but there is this other addiction they have to keep going back to their crystal bowls.  They often will use the excuse that their clients say they like the crystal bowls the they play for groups but really I believe this is out of an  inability to get in touch with the bell tones to give a concert.  They want to just keep rimming and rimming these white crystal bowls.  Or bang a gong.

I am still mystified by Mitch Gaynor being transformed by the Tibetan Bell Metal bowl and then in wanting to bring sound to his patients he went towards musical notes and crystal bowls for their humming.   For toning  we use Shruti box or just specific Japanese of Sanskrit chants and mantras.

There is no recording that can take the place of the actual presence of live musicians and most of all the singing bowls and didgeridoo,

With the Tibetan Tones bell metal bowls we get extraordinary results. LONG LASTING results. 10 out of 10 acupuncture patients preferred adding the Tibetan Tones method.   We function best in our own known outcome.  I cab not apply a science quote to a note , then attach that to a singing bowl and then say does this or that.  I can only work with the results I have gotten with real bodies in real time with the actual bowls.  I access the pulse and facial expressions, the cracks in their voice and the over all Shen disturbance.

I train all my students to have clients fill out a form and share their situation and chief complaints.  The treatment is an over all complete session. Tibetan Tones practitioners know how to make connections with people and create a sense of safety and security.

They have the ability to move qi and blood  in a harmonized way and are not just giving a sonic experience of a musical note for the throat chakra. I feel they are safer too.  Clients are on all kinds of medication and jumping into a high intensity crystal sound bath, I feel can be dangerous. Any time people start talking about their third eye opening I wonder how safe is that without being grounded into all your other chakras.  Energy work is a process not a targeted zapping.

BP: I guess now would be the time to bring up that chakra question. Why do you wait before teaching your students the chakras.

EM: I find the use of chakras and applying notes to them is more of a method of teaching people a system than and actual tried and try technology.  I want the students to be more grounded and rooted in the sound and the emotion of the velvet tones . I want them to be in touch with their breath in a very intimate way.  Talking about "information" and what "musical note" to apply I find ruins their practice or chance of truly being in touch with sound.

Each of us has our own inner acoustic field that we want to be able to tap into.  Being zapped with sound is not an instant cure.  The body mind spirit becomes more harmonized with the Tibetan Tones or a didgeridoo but still each one now has to create a ritual in their daily life to maintain balance and inner harmony.

We must understand our selves as vibration, and how just simple tone and voice and music effects us on every level. It’s important to know you’re exposed to disharmony every day. . We typically prescribe everyone to take 15 or 20 minutes in the morning and another few minutes before you go to sleep at night to focus on your inner harmony. We also have various rituals for students to be practicing on daily basis. Being in TONE is key to vagal nerve , respiratory, cardiac and gastro function. The brain must be fed with waves of subtle sound vibrations.

BP: So you’re saying the lack of inner harmoney causes  disease?

EM: Exactly. However, this does not mean to say I do not recognize and acknowledge the devastating life threatening effects of chemical war fare and super bugs. Also the importance of a balanced diet but there are thousands of people who have been afflicted with very challenging debilitating diseases and their life becomes a constant quest to keep up with the simple ordinary daily functions in life. This is what makes the practice of something like Tibetan Tones Therapies so helpful and important.

BP: What about how bad relationships, fear and stress causing cancer?

EM:  I think just about everyone has relationship issues and past trauma that cripples them in many hidden ways. Trauma has a way of protecting itself. It is extremely elusive. I see it as almost a ghost like entity that controls or has strings attached to every emotional response to relationships in life and it has the victim locked in delusion. Our job is to create a more balanced state of homeostasis so people can then change the way they react to stressful situations.  A simple thing like gratitude can transform on's whole daily experience. When we look around at all we take for granted it is laughable.

The Tibetan Tones therapy raises spirits by moving qi and blood and most of all giving someone 20 to 40 minutes of quality restful state. It is incredible refreshing.
